The Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) Program helps workers affected by foreign trade gain the skills, credentials, and resources needed for new, well-paying careers. Funded by the U.S. Department of Labor, TAA offers training, income support, reemployment services, and job search allowances to help individuals transition into growing industries.
Unique System Skills LLC provides hands-on TAA training in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, offering tailored programs to prepare participants for in-demand jobs in just months — without the need for a four-year degree.

To be eligible for TAA, workers must be part of a group that has been certified as trade-affected by the U.S. Department of Labor.
Typically, this includes employees whose jobs have been lost due to:
Petitioning for TAA benefits can be done by the affected workers, a company official, or a union representative.
Once the petition is certified, individual workers can apply for benefits through their state workforce agency.

For workers enrolled in TAA-approved training, Trade Readjustment Allowances (TRA) offer up to 130 weeks of income support after unemployment benefits are exhausted. TRA is designed to give workers the financial stability they need to focus on retraining without the immediate pressure of finding a job.
Additionally, workers can receive the Health Coverage Tax Credit (HCTC), which pays 72.5% of qualified health insurance premiums. This helps workers maintain affordable healthcare during their transition period.
Beyond benefiting individual workers, the TAA program has a broader economic impact. By helping workers transition into high-demand sectors, the program contributes to regional economic development and labor market stability. Communities that would otherwise suffer from job losses due to foreign trade gain a more skilled workforce, increasing productivity and competitiveness.
Furthermore, the program helps address skill gaps in industries like healthcare and information technology, where qualified workers are in high demand.
We have been approved by the office Trade Adjustment Funding to offer the latest IT courses training to TAA approved students. We have been successfully working with the unemployed workforce (WIOA) since April 2016 by providing quality training along with job assistance.
